What is a doctorate degree?

Prerequisites for a doctoral degree.
When you apply to a doctorate in education programs, you’ll need at least a bachelor’s degree or, preferably, a master’s degree from a college or university. From there, our advisors will help walk you through a process to fully access your goals and desires to better help you choose between an EdD and a Ph.D. As AIU is a distance learning institution, there is no need to pause on the other areas of your life to pursue your doctoral studies. All aspects of the program will be pursued online and in our own time. You will also be given the opportunity to tailor our degree to your preferred needs.
